The two main pottery producing places are\u00a0Tonal\u00e1\u00a0and Tlaquepaque. Tonal\u00e1 has long been recognized as a center for ceramics in Mexico. The streets are filled with artisan workshops and sidewalks stalls selling pottery and stoneware.
