Nicaraguan pottery ceramics are further distinguished by its continuous innovation in original, abstract and contemporary design elements. This unique pot is made on wheel first to give it a shape followed polishing and coloring with pigments mixed from mineral oxides. Then in classic Nicaraguan style, artisans meticulously carve symmetrical geometric pattern both in relief and surface etching. Finally the pot is baked in a wood burning kiln and finally removed and polished. The end result is a truly beautiful creation made all the more special by many hours of labor and love from the hands of gifted and dedicated artisans.
