This unique pot is made on wheel first to give it a shape followed by polishing and coloring with pigments mixed from mineral oxides. Then in classic Nicaraguan style, artist Luis meticulously carve beautiful bird and leaves pattern both in relief and surface etching. Finally the pot is baked in a wood burning kiln and finally removed and polished. The end result is a truly beautiful creation made all the more special by many hours of labor and love from the hands of gifted and dedicated artisans. Their exceptional artistry has made Nicaraguan pottery celebrated around the world. This is a pure Fair Trade craft from Nicaragua, Central America.
