Black leather jewelry or trinket box with button in front. The artwork on top surface of box are done with vegetable dye. The leather used to make the boxes are from goat skin or sheep skin.

In Shantiniketan leather products are made at Amar Kutir, Shantiniketan and surrounding areas at Bolpur-Shantiniketan, Birbhum, West Bengal, India. Mostly rural local women work in this leather craft units. The products are made up of E. I. Leather (East India Leather) from sheepskin and goatskin. On tanned leather, colored embossed artwork done with vegetable dye.
